Do you want to reduce or even eliminate your power bills? And more, be paid by the power company? Do you have a passion for the environment and want to generate your own power? Then you are on the right place since I am also the one who is passionate about the environment and wants to reduce the power bills.

I had undergone the large home energy guides emerging online that can teach us how to make simple wind and solar powered energy systems that can reduce our energy bills by as much as 80%. I decided to sit down and review these new guides. My key criteria were ease-of-use, affordability of materials, speed of installation and of course the overall reduction in energy costs.

Earth4Energyis by far the easiest-to-follow guide I came across. Earth for energy is an eBook (electronic book) created by Michael Harvey, a renewable energy enthusiast, is a complete step-by-step guide on how you can set up your own renewable energy system at home for less than $200. Everything is layed out in clear and easy to understand steps.

Earth4Energy does not requires any knowledge about the solar and wind powered energy systems. It doesn’t require any experience about building things from the ground up and technical projects especially. It is a 73 page e book giving step by step and easy illustrations. The manual is too simple, easy to read English, and clear illustrations that will guide you through the whole process. The guide also contains pictures and videos, which will make it easier for those who need to see what they are supposed to be building. The pictures right along the instructions made things a whole lot easier.

The materials required are also readily available and cheap ranging between 150$ to 200$ and you will be able to get your money back within a couple of months in electricity savings. Imagine the savings over your lifetime.

Earth4Energy teaches it’s customers how to build a solar power and wind power generator. Since, energy is a world wide crisis right now and people want a solution. Earth4Energy provides a solution which makes this a super hot product.

Thus, the benefits of earth for energy are as follows:

Save 50% to 80% in energy costs, even sometimes eliminating your energy bill completely.

Easy to build

Cheap to construct

Environmental friendly

For those who are interested in building their own sources of energy, this is an excellent guidebook. It will give you more information than any other on the market. Earth4Energy is a wise investment if you are interested in creating your own power sources. Go For Earth4Energy Now

With the cost of electric production soaring to new numbers and the amount of pollution being monitored closely and with the jump into green energy one energy system that can get overlooked is wind.

Wind energy use is the fastest growing energy production segment that relates to renewable sources. Wind power uses the naturally occurring energy of the wind for practical purposes like generating electricity, charging batteries, or pumping water. Wind power generation is the second fastest growing energy production in the nation. Wind power will definitely help solve some of our pollution problems that come out of using coal energy, but the wind power is also dependent on Mother Nature.

Some other benefits of wind power are listed below:

Wind as an energy supply is an inexhaustible resource. As long as winds blow on earth, this energy will always be there for us to harness.

Wind energy is free. It does not have to be imported or mined or harvested in any way, other than through a wind energy system.

Wind power produce virtually no air or noise pollution, adding economic benefit to the area they are located in.

Wind energy is readily available around the globe, and therefore there would be no need of dependence for energy for any country. Wind energy may be the answer to the globe’s question of energy in the face of the rising petroleum and gas prices.

Wind Energy is also said to diminish the greenhouse effect.

Harnessing wind energy is very cheap as compared to the fossil fuels that have skyrocketing prices.

Unlike fossil fuels, wind does not take ages to be made. It is always readily available.

Wind energy serves as the perfect mode of electricity for remote areas that cannot be connected to the main electricity grid.

Electricity consumption burns a big hole in the pockets of businesses. The good news is that there are things that you could do to slow down the manically racing meter.

Air conditioning optimization
The most obvious cost-cutting can happen by using ceiling fans instead of air conditioners whenever possible. The differential in operating cost is approximately 30 paise per hour for fans as opposed to Rs 10 for air conditioning. Replacing the metal blades of a fan with fiber blades can save 20% energy overall.

Further, going for multi-coated glazing windows helps in restraining cool air escape. It is also advisable to install weather-strips under doors, windows, and ducts to avoid air leakage. Getting multiple coated glazes on glass windows also reduces air conditioning energy usage by about 40 percent.

It also helps to install green meshes on west facing windows and doors, so that it blocks direct sunlight heat and reduces the load on the air conditioners. This can be uninstalled in winters to let sunlight come in and reduce the need of heaters.

Backup equipment basics
For a new setup, there are three basic assessments when it comes to buying power backup solutions. First, it should be a reliable solution, which means that it should not disturb critical continuity. Second, it should have scalability, so that the solution is future proof and can be incorporated without making legacy equipment defunct. Third is that one should not look just at the capex (capital expenses). The payback time should be quantifiable in terms of productivity or in finances.

The generator, as a solution for power backup, has many inherent flaws. The biggest drawback being that it cannot withstand a strong surge in current.

Electronic components best practices
Did you know that a computer that is on for 24 hours uses more power than an energy-efficient refrigerator? Near about 50% of power is hogged by the monitor alone. Setting up a company wide policy to switch off the monitors of idling workstations can help you curb a lot of wastage.
Electronic devices, such as battery chargers for laptops, phones, cameras, etc, keep drawing power if plugged in. Simply encourage unplugging these when not in use.

Efficient lighting
A lot of electricity is wasted on this one, and there are many solutions to cut down on the same. The first to-do for this is installing compact fluorescent lamps (CFL). CFLs convert electricity to visible light up to five times more efficiently than ordinary bulbs, and thus consume 75 percent lesser energy as compared to incandescent light bulbs.
There are many automatic devices that can help in saving energy used in lighting. Installing infrared sensors, motion sensors, automatic timers, dimmers, solar cells and such wherever applicable to switch on/off lighting circuits is a good idea.

Refrigeration fine-tuning
One could begin by making sure that all refrigeration units are kept away from direct sunlight or other heat emitting appliances. A lot of energy is wasted if the cooling escapes through the sealing.

Besides all these tips, it is advisable for businesses to run a power audit that investigates all processes followed in the company and the equipment used. Based on the analyses derived, companies should implement correctives that can help in cutting down the electricity bill.

To make proper use of solar energy and wind energy

Wind Energy

Wind Energy is defined as the “power generated by harnessing the wind, usually by windmills” (Mayhew). In scientific terms, wind energy is the kinetic energy present in the wind motion that can be converted to mechanical energy for driving pumps, mills and electric power generators.

Wind is caused by uneven heating on the earth’s surface. The equator region receives more heat than say, Antarctica. That heat tries to move from hotter to colder regions. Wind energy systems generate electrical energy by harnessing the power in wind using machines called wind turbines. Wind energy can be produced in stand-alone applications or can be produced centrally and distributed to the electric grid.

One of the greatest advantages of Wind Energy is that it is ample. Secondly, wind energy is renewable. Some other advantages of Wind Energy are that it is widely distributed, cheap, and also reducing toxic gas emissions. Wind Energy is also advantageous over traditional methods of creating energy, in the sense that it is getting cheaper and cheaper to produce wind energy. Wind Energy may soon be the cheapest way to produce energy on a large scale.

The cost of producing wind energy has come down by at least eighty percent since the eighties. Along with economy, Wind Energy is also said to diminish the greenhouse effect.

Also, wind energy generates no pollution. Wind Energy is also a more permanent type of energy. The wind will exist till the time the sun exists, which is roughly another four billion years. Theoretically, if all the wind power available to humankind is harnessed, there can be ten times of energy we use, readily available.

One other advantage of wind energy that it is readily available around the globe, and therefore there would be no need of dependence for energy for any country. Wind energy may be the answer to the globe’s question of energy in the face of the rising petroleum and gas prices.

Solar energy had being used from the period when humans have existed on this planet. The sun being 150 kilometers away from us helps us in many different ways. Humans have always used the sun’s energy directly (eg, for drying clothes and foodstuffs), as well as indirectly to power the agriculture that supplies us with food. This century we have started to use solar energy more effectively, and it is likely that we’ll increase its use in the future.

Earth receives 5.6 x 1018 (5,600,000,000,000,000,000) megajoules of solar radiation each year, but to make it worthwhile we need to collect it over many hours and across many square meters of ground. We then need to concentrate it so as to make available the sort of power that modern society needs. Sunlight is not as ‘energy-dense’ as oil but this is made up for by the fact that it is present over such a large area.

The use of solar power in the home is becoming an attractive proposition for a growing number of people. People are using this energy to heat their homes and to run diiferent appliances. Solar energy can also be used to generate hot water. By using the solar energy, we not only lower our utility bills but also adds value to our home.

In addition to this, nowadays solar cells also provide the energy to run satellites that orbit the earth. This can help us in giving satellite TV, telephone, navigation, weather forecasting, the internet and all manner of other facilities.

In California, the solar one power station use’s the sun’s heat to make steam and drive a generator to make electicity.

Solar energy can be stored by photoluminescent products and can act as a useful source of emergency lighting in the even of sudden power outage.

The great feature of solar energy is the fact that it is likely to continue to exist so far into the future that we can think of it as being unending. It is, therefore, a form of renewable energy. This is a big contrast with non-renewable energy sources, most of which are running out as we use them. In addition, using solar energy doesn’t cause air pollution or involve damaging the Earth’s surface. It requires no difficult and expensive extraction procedures.

In short, Solar energy is free and doesn’t needs any fuel. It doesn’t produce any waste or pollution.

It has being observed that the consumption of non renewable sources has caused more environmental damage than any other human activity. Electricity generated from fossil fuels such as coal and crude oil has led to high concentrations of harmful gases in the atmosphere. This has in turn led to many problems being faced today such as ozone depletion and global warming.

Thus alternative sources of energy have become very important and relevant in today’s world. These sources such as sun and wind can never be exhausted and are thus known as renewable. These sources cause less emission and available locally. The different renewable sources of energy are:

Solar Energy
The energy generated from the sun is the solar energy. It is the most important form of energy since it is non-polluting and also helps in lessening the green house effect. Solar energy can be used for cooking and heating water through solar panels. It can also be used to meet our electricity requirements.

Hydel Energy
The energy derived from water is the hydel energy. The energy from the flowing water can be used to produce electricity. This is one of the best cheapest and cleanest source of energy, although with big dams there can be some environmental and social problems.

Biomass
Biomass, including, firewood, animal dung, biodegradable waste from cities and crop residues- is a source of energy when it is burnt. Biomass does not add carbon dioxide to the atmosphere as it absorbs the same amount of carbon in growing as it releases when consumed as a fuel. Its advantage is that it can be used to generate electricity with the same equipment or power plants that are now burning fossil fuels.

Geothermal Energy
It is derived from hot dry rocks, magma, hot water springs, natural geysers, etc. This energy is also being used for heating and generating electricity.

Ocean Thermal Energy
This energy is derived from waves and also from tidal waves. This energy is also used for power generation.

The renewable energy is a new source of electricity discovered from scientists in order to provide cheaper energy to all people searching for how to reduce the cost of electrical bills, but especially in order to stop polluting our planet with black energy produced by the hydroelectric centrals.

This new kind of energy is cleaned and not polluting our planet and is produced utilizing windmill, that uses wind power, or solar panel, that uses solar power.

The importance of using renewable energy is becoming more and more significant as the days go by. Recent erratic weather patterns have proven to us that renewable energy needs to be considered more seriously or it may be too late. Coal and oil electric generation techniques that we are used to relying on have damaged our environment and are severely depleting the amount of natural resources left on our planet.

By creating our own energy at home, we will be able to keep energy prices under control and reduce our reliance of power companies. Natural disasters like tornadoes, hurricanes and floods have disrupted the lives of civilians as well as businesses severely when they strike and cut off electricity supplies abruptly, thus increasing the need for self reliant power.

Solar energy is radiant heat and light that is emanated from the Sun. This light helps to influence the climate on earth and allows not only humans and animals – but also fish to live. Solar energy has been harnessed for power since the ancient times by humans through the use of different technologies.

Solar energy as well as hydroelectricity, wind, and wave power make up 99.97% of the renewable energy that is available on the Earth. The total amount of solar energy that the Earth’s atmosphere, land masses, and oceans absorbs is close to 3,850 zettajoules a year.

The amount of solar energy that the Earth’s surface can capture is so large that in a single year it will be twice the amount that we can obtain from non-renewable resources of oil, coal, and natural gas.

This natural energy source can be used for a wide variety of things inside your home. Many people think of using solar energy for their electricity needs, and that is certainly an excellent way to use it. In most cases though, you can actually just use the sun’s energy to help heat your home naturally. Essentially all you need to do is set up a way to absorb the heat from the sun.
